Driven by a commitment to mastery in his field, Dr. Salisbury continued his medical journey at Tulane University, where he completed his Internship in Internal Medicine and subsequently his Residency in Ophthalmology. His exemplary performance and leadership qualities were acknowledged when he was elected Chief Resident during his final year of Ophthalmology residency.

Specializing further, Dr. Salisbury completed a rigorous two-year Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Retina and Vitreous of Texas in Houston, Texas, honing his skills in medical and surgical retina procedures.

Drawing from a rich family legacy in ophthalmology, Dr. Salisbury proudly carries on the tradition as a second-generation ophthalmologist, marking the fifth generation in his family to achieve board certification in this specialized field. His father, Charles, and his uncles, John and James, along with his brother Drew, all share his passion for eye care.

An active member of esteemed professional societies including the American Society of Retina Specialists, the American Board of Ophthalmology, and the New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Salisbury remains at the forefront of advancements in his field, ensuring the highest standards of care for his patients.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Salisbury finds joy in the great outdoors, indulging in activities such as golf, hunting, fishing, and the art of grilling. He shares his life with his beloved wife, Samantha, a native of Baton Rouge, and together they take pride in raising their sons, Scotty and Walker.
